Lilongwe-based gospel music giant Great Angels Choir said Thursday festival goers will experience all the fun during their Nzayaweh Pamchenga Mother’s Day Festival two-day to be held at Sunbird Nkopola Leisure Centre in Mangochi.
The festival, which starts tomorrow and ends on Sunday, will feature close to 23 artists.
Great Angels Choir Music Director Ephraim Zonda said the festival is aimed at celebrating with mothers by treating them to music.
“We have always wanted to celebrate with mothers every year; we have held gospel concerts but our wish has always been to have a festival and now this is the time to have it,” Zonda said.
He said apart from celebrating mothers, the fiesta is also there to give people a feast of gospel music.
“We have festivals out there but the missing puzzle is that we do not have festivals that strictly offer gospel music as part of ministering the word of God,” Zonda said.
Great Angels Choir will lead the performances over the two days, sharing the stage with other acts such as Soldier Lucius Banda, Mlaka Maliro, Thocco Katimba, Driemo, Ndirande Anglican Voices, Wendy Harawa, King James Phiri and Limbani Simenti.
