Zambia based forward Chifundo Mphasi believes playing in the 2025 Caf Champions League with Zambian champions Power Dynamos will be a big step in his career.
The Malawian will be looking forward for his Caf Champion League debut when Dynamos take on Ivory Coast side Asec Mimosas next month.
“I am eagerly waiting for the chance to make my debut in a big competition. I am very excited now,” Mphasi said.
The pint-sized forward enjoyed a good season with Dynamos last season. He said his ambition was to help Dynamos qualify for the group stages. “We are not looking at the team we will face because we set goals and we want to achieve it as a team,” he said.
In addition, the former Kabwe Warriors attacker was confident of helping his side defend the MTN Faz title next season.

“My target is to help the team defend the title. I hope I will score more goals for the club,” Mphasi said.
The talented forward was discarded from the Malawi National Football Team after the appointment of Zimbabwean mentor Kalisto Pasuwa. But Mphasi said he was not disappointed.
“Playing for the national team is about time and chance. The right time will come for me. Let us trust the process,” he said.
The 20-year old scored two goals for the Flames including a winner in a 1-0 victory over Liberia. He scored the other goal as Malawi defeated Sao Tome and Principe 3-1 at Bingu National Stadium.
