The foreign based players will join the squad in Kenya today,” he said.
Scorchers coach Lovemore Fazili named a 25-member squad for the Fifa Series Tournament.
France-based captain Tabitha Chawinga will lead the squad alongside her sister Temwa Chawinga, who has just recovered from a groin injury.
However, Temwa is still doubtful for the tournament, which might have come too soon for her.

In addition, her club Kansas City Current will host Brazilian teams Corinthians and Palmeiras in Teal Rising Cup during the Fifa International Women’s Window.
Temwa only played 45 minutes in a 2-1 victory over Gotham FC having stayed for 168 days on the sidelines due to the injury.
She also provided an assist during the game.
Apart from Tabitha and Temwa, Fazili has also included France-based Rose Kabzere, Sweden based Faith Chimzimu, Chimwemwe Madise and Sabina Thom, who are based in Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) and Morocco, respectively.
Egypt-based striker Vanesa Chikupila and Tendai Sani, who is based in Zambia are also included in the squad.
Fazili has also included experienced local based players such as Bernadette Mkandawire, Madyina Ngulube, Rose Alufandika, Mercy Sikelo and Ireen Khumalo.
The Scorchers will face Australia in the Fifa Series opener on Saturday, with the winner scheduled to meet either India or Kenya in the final.
The losing semifinalists will also meet in the third place play off.
The Scorchers are using the tournament as part of preparations for the upcoming 2026 TotalEnergies Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (Wafcon) finals in Morocco from July 25 to August 16.
