Nigerian gospel singer and songwriter Ada Ehi failed to make it for the Theresa Phondo show on Saturday but despite the setback, the concert reigned.
Ada Ehi, who posted a video ahead of the show that she was set for the concert at Bingu International Convention Centre (BICC) Amphitheatre in Lilongwe, was supposed to jet into the country on Friday alongside Zambia’s Pompi but due to travel documents hitches she failed to make it with her team.
Only Pompi made it with Theresa’s management dropping a presser later announcing the Nigerian songwriter’s failure to make it to the concert.
The show went on as scheduled despite Ada Ehi’s absence with Theresa as the headliner, Praise Umali, Paul Kachala, Esther Chitheka Nkhoma, Beracah and Pompi rising to the occasion.

The stage stayed blessed with no spirits dampened from the impressive audience as the former Zathu Band star led the gospel melodic buffet.
Fresh from releasing her album titled Kingdom Energy; Theresa offered an electric one-hour act that blended praise and worship.
Her line-up include songs such as ‘Daily’ and ‘Testimony’.
Appearing in different outfits on the night, the artist thanked people for their support.

“You have shown up well. You are here because of God, and you are blessed,” she said.
Kachala, Umali and Chitheka Nkhoma, who are also former Zathu Band members alongside Beracah and Pompi tiled Theresa’s act.
Rapper Gwamba made a surprise appearance on the night as he teamed up with Umali in ‘Mukadalitsa’ and ‘Plan’, while Kelvin Sings joined Beracah in another collaborative set.
One of the patrons, Chrissy Mwamlima, could not hide her excitement with the concert saying it was uplifting.
“It was a top concert that was full of blessings.
All the artists showed up and the sound was good. We missed Ada Ehi but we felt the presence of God,” Mwamlima said.
