Cricket Malawi says the body is ready to host the Quad Nations T20 Cup at The Cricket Academy (TCA) Oval in Blantyre from Saturday to July 14.
In a statement, Cricket Malawi (CM) indicates that the international tournament will feature men’s teams from Germany, Tanzania, Bahrain and Malawi, bringing world-class T20 cricket on home ground.
The tournament will also be held in honour of the association’s late head of cricket operations Arjun Menon, who died in May.
“The event is being held in honour of the late Arjun Menon, whose dedication to the development of cricket in Malawi left a lasting impact. We will be sharing further details, including fixtures, in the coming days,” the statement reads.
The tournament comes at the right time when the sport is growing in the country.

Last year, the Malawi Senior Men’s National Cricket Team’s performance was outstanding after the team finished with silver medals at the International Cricket Council (ICC) Men’s T20 World Cup Sub-Regional Africa Qualifiers in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, in September.
Malawi lost by 19 runs to the hosts in a thrilling final.
