Artists, led by rapper Gwamba, on Saturday delivered dazzling performances during a show dubbed Gwamba Unlimited which drew a mammoth audience at Mzuzu Stadium.
The show lived up to its billing, with people enjoying the vibes throughout in the Green City which has for a long time been starved of top concerts.
Having received support from companies such as Grand Palace Hotel and TNM, which pumped in K5 million each, Gwamba alongside other artists such as Lawi, Eli Njuchi, Kell Kay and Tay Grin, made sure they gave people enough of the sound they were craving for.
The performances on the day also showed unity among artists, with some committing to support Gwamba and cancelling their other gigs.

Lawi of the ‘Phukira’ fame said unity amongst artists is key to uplifting the music industry.
The singer and guitarist, who is also a producer, then called upon the corporate world to invest in the creative sector, saying it has potential to help in the development of the country.
“We cannot be independent of each other, it is very important to work together in the arts industry but we urge business people to put money in the industry because there is an opportunity for growth,” Lawi said.
TNM Segments Manager Wanangwa Banda described the show as a success and hailed people for turning up in large numbers.

Banda said, through the concert, they introduced the first of its kind youth development bundles dubbed Agulu to enhance young people’s capabilities and productivity through mobile phones.
He said that Agulu, which will be available for use from Wednesday, is a product that targets to help the youth demographic below the age of 26, offering them access to specialised services that include data, voice and SMSs to help them connect and enhance their capabilities.
“Through this innovative solution, we are reiterating our commitment to support the youth in their journey to success. As a matter of fact, the youth are our great partner. The product is suitable for the youth whether in education, in business or simply staying in touch with friends and family,” he said.
Gwamba, who recently dropped a single titled ‘Fumbu’, thanked fellow artists for supporting him at the concert.
He said he prepared for the concert and that he was happy that people enjoyed it to the fullest.
“I started planning for this concert a long time ago and we had massive rehearsals and that is why we delivered today,” the rapper, real name Duncan Zgambo, said.
After the show, there was also an after-party at Queens Club dubbed Malawi Night Mzuzu Edition.
