The Lilongwe Senior Resident Magistrate Court is on January 13, 2026 expected to make its ruling on whether three people who are answering several counts of aggravated robbery have a case to answer.
State prosecutor handling the case Dalireni Kalanguluka confirmed the development Wednesday.
Kalanguluka said this comes after the State paraded 10 witnesses in the case.
He indicated that the State completed all its processes and expected the ruling to be made on the day.

“There has been a delay because sometimes, when the case was adjourned, hearing could not take place. Now we have been informed about the new date, 13th January 2026, when Senior Resident Magistrate Wanangwa Nyirenda will make his ruling,” he said.
Police arrested the three suspects—Felix Magaleta, Adam Tsoka and Aubrey Banda—last year on suspicion that they robbed several people of their properties and money in area 25 in Lilongwe.
Some of the properties include Mobile phones and sound equipment (bluetooth speakers).
State witnesses in the case include Doreen Thondoya, Gift Chagunda, Gracian Jackson, Suzgo Kumwenda and Steven Kanyemba.
