Afro-gospel musician Beracah put up a spirited performance on Sunday as he spiced up the Zomba Youth Talent show held at Robins Park. Organised by US-based NGO – Driven to Reach Excellence and Academic Achievement for Males (Dreaam) as part of its 10 years anniversary, the event excited the audience.
Budding artists in different disciplines including music, comedy and visual arts took turns to showcase their works during the event.
As the main act, Beracah dished out several and won the hearts of the audience. He signed off his set with the popular track ‘Werenga’, that saw the audience singing along.
“I grew up in Zomba and I am overjoyed to be part of this event to share my music. I have rekindled memories of my childhood days. I want to encourage up and coming artists not to give up on their talent but keep pushing,” Beracah said.

Before Beracah, gospel artist Alex Nkalo well-known for his song ‘Anasi,’ also performed. Dreaam founder and Chief Executive Officer Tracy Dace described the show as a success and that it was aimed at giving a platform to up and coming artists to showcase their talent.
“As an organization, we mostly work with the youth, and we used this show to bring youths together so that they can share ideas and interact on issues affecting them. I am pleased that the artists gave up good performances,” Dace said. Elliot Banda from Matawale Township called for more of such shows.
