Blantyre continues to be the most expensive city to live in Malawi, with a household of six requiring K1, 012,632 per month for basic needs.
This is according to the Centre for Social Concern’s August 2025 cost of living report.
The commercial capital outpaced other major cities significantly, with costs exceeding Lilongwe by K93, 828, Mzuzu by K149,443 and Zomba by K166,732.
