Zomba-based hip-hop artist Blessme has dropped a seven-track Extended Playlist (EP) titled M’mera Mpoyamba.
Motivated by parenthood and the need for fellow parents to value their children, the artist decided to use music to talk about the issue.
“This is why the title of the EP is M’mera Mpoyamba because if children are raised the right way at early stages, they will make a better society tomorrow. As a parent myself, parenthood has motivated me to come up with this EP so that I can express what I have been learning,” he said.
The artist, real name Blessme Phiri, said, with the EP, he is targeting parents and guardians of children including those that are not yet parents now but wish to have children someday.

“The Bible shows us that everyone will be responsible if they make children fall into sin. However, many people these days are influencing children negatively,” he said.
Some of the songs in the EP include ‘Musatiletse’, ‘Kwa Baby Mama’, ‘Nzeru’ featuring TNO and ‘Aphunzire’ featuring Rejoice.
The EP, which is available on online platforms, was produced by Echorino of Inkosi Music and Sniky Virus of Audio Blitz Lab Records.
Blessme’s other previous project is a mixtape titled Songs of A Prodigal Son, which he released in 2019.
