Zimbabwe Premier League side Caps United arrived in the country on Friday ahead of their international friendly matches against Malawian sides.
According to former Flames captain Joseph Kamwendo, who is part of the Caps technical staff members, the club is eyeing three international friendly matches for their two weeks stay in the country.
Kamwendo said while Silver Strikers confirmed to play an international friendly match with the Zimbabwe Soccer Premier League, they were still discussing with other two local clubs on the possibility of meeting in friendly games.
“We are in Malawi for two weeks as part of our preseason tour. We want to play three matches here.
“We are discussing with one of the teams that is playing in the Castel Challenge Cup. We will confirm the details later once we finalise the discussions. Our plan was to play on Sunday and then Wednesday,” Kamwendo said.

Silver will host Caps at Silver Stadium in Lilongwe Sunday.
Silver Chief Executive Officer Patrick Chimimba said the match against Caps, will be their final match for extended 2025-2026 football season.
“They sent their representatives in January and we thought it wise to play them. This will be our last game and we will send the players to the off season break. I am hopeful that we will have a good game and share ideas on how we can improve the game of football in our clubs,” Chimimba said.
The last time Caps United played against Malawian sides was in March 2015.
