The highly-contested Constituency Development Fund (CDF) Amendment Bill will return to Parliament next week, after legislators failed to agree on whether it should be passed immediately or subjected to further scrutiny.
This follows Thursday’s heated debate in Parliament, where Speaker of Parliament Sameer Suleman ruled that the bill be referred to the Parliamentary Legal Affairs Committee, which is expected to report back to the House on Tuesday next week.
