Flames striker Chawanangwa Kaonga is confident that he will secure a good deal following his outstanding performance at the just ended Hollywood Bets Cosafa Cup in Durban, South Africa.
Kaonga, who joined Zambia’s Super League side Zanaco early this year on a one-year deal, said being named the player of the tournament can attract potential suitors.
“The Cosafa Cup has boosted my chances of attracting some big clubs in Africa. It is always great to win this award. This shows that I worked hard on the field of play.
“I am sure that the award will attract some clubs in Africa to inquire about my availability on the market,” the former Silver Strikers player said.
Kaonga said the Flames were unfortunate not to reach the final or win a bronze medal.

The Zanaco player won player-of-the-match awards when the Flames met Seychelles and South Africa.
At this year’s tournament, the Flames played five games, scoring six goals but conceding once in open play.
In all matches, Flames players including Chimwemwe Idana, Alick Lungu and Patrick Mwaungulu won player of the match awards.
The Flames were voted fair play team at the tournament.
