The High Court in Lilongwe Friday granted an injunction restraining the agricultural arm of the Malawi Agricultural and Industrial Investment Corporation (Maiic) from forcing beneficiaries of mega farm loans beneficiaries to repay their loans.
According to the injunction order dated July 9, 2026, the court has barred Maiic from visiting beneficiaries’ farms or seizing their property over failure to repay the loans
