A consortium of civil society organisations has vowed to reject the Constitution (Amendment) Bill of 2025 which seeks to place control of the Constituency Development Fund (CDF) in the hands of members of Parliament (MPs).
The proposed amendment states: “Notwithstanding any provision under Chapter XIV, Members of Parliament shall be responsible for the governance of the Fund as prescribed by an Act of Parliament.”
