Defence lawyers in a case in which 11 people are accused of nine charges related to a political violence incident at Mbowe in Lilongwe have asked the Senior Resident Magistrate (SRM) court in Lilongwe for an order restraining the police from making further arrests of the suspects after they were granted bail.
The defence made the application Thursday while SRM Wanangwa Nyirenda continued hearing responses from the state on the suspects’ bail application.
