Dedza Dynamos can breathe a sigh of relief after securing K100 million sponsorship from Premier Bet for a period of one year with an option to extend.
The signing ceremony took place at Premier Bet offices in Limbe, Blantyre, Tuesday.
Following the deal, the team will now be called Premier Bet Dedza Dynamos.
Through the deal, Premier Bet will be providing K100,000 to the player of the month until the end of the season.
On top of that, Player of the Season from the team will get K500,000 whereas fans’ Player of the Season will also get K500,000.

Unveiling the sponsorship agreement, Premier Bet Chief Executive Officer Trevor Whitaker challenged the team to do well in the TNM Super League this season.
“It has always been our wish to be part of Malawi football. After thorough consultations, we settled for Dynamos,” he said.
Dynamos Chairperson Hastings Mpambila said they would jealously safeguard the sponsorship.

“The sponsorship is big motivation to the players. We will make sure that we support Premier Bet by using its products,” Mpambila said.

He also hailed Football Association of Malawi (Fam) and Super League of Malawi (Sulom) for facilitating the deal.
Fam President Fleetwood Haiya, while commending the company, urged Dynamos to run the team as a business entity.
“They need to be serious on issues of corporate governance. Secondly, they must also do well and support Premier Bet,” Haiya, who graced the event alongside Sulom executive committee member Akuzike Kafwamba, said.
Dedza had been without sponsors after the expiry of their contract with Salima Sugar Company Limited at the end of last season. The agreement package between Dedza and Salima Sugar was pegged at K48 million for one season.
Dedza have started the 2024 season on a low as they are 13th on the log table with three points, having lost one match and drawn thrice in four matches.
