Economics Association of Malawi (Ecama) has called for greater citizen participation in the country’s budgeting processes, with particular emphasis on scrutinising procurement practices and reducing inflated invoicing.
Ecama President Bertha Chikadza made the remarks following her participation in a panel discussion on open budget multilateralism at the OGP Global Summit on Wednesday.
