Renowned musician Eli Njuchi excited revelers over the weekend when he shared the stage with Mighty Wanderers supporter Bwede at Stay in Bar and Grill, formerly Mulunguzi Cottage, in Zomba.
The ‘True Love’ maker, who is basking in the glory of bagging the Best Album of the Year for Cifu in Maso and Urban Music People (UMP) awards, raised the tempo of the gig and delivered a lively set, setting the tone for the festive season.
The impressive audience had no choice but to party all night, relishing Eli Njuchi’s songs such as ‘Yabaya’, ‘True Love’ and ‘Soja’.
Bwede, whose team has just claimed the TNM Super League championship, also left no stone unturned in his undertakings as kept patrons on the dance floor with well- known songs such as ‘Ng’ona Ilibe Mabere’.
He connected with patrons, the same way he does at football matches, where he leads songs, mostly during Nomads matches.

Organiser Gerald Ishime described the event as a success and that people relished every moment of the concert.
“Eli Njuchi and Bwede did not disappoint. This is what we intend to do here; to give people maximum entertainment. This was also part of efforts to give people an early festive season outing,” Ishime said.
One of the people who patronised the show, Joyce Mpunga from Matawale, said she enjoyed the show.
