The Electricity Supply Corporation of Malawi (Escom) has connected about 180,752 new customers to the national power grid under its World Bank-supported Malawi Electricity Access Project (Meap).
The connections, as at October 3, have already surpassed the utility company’s goal of connecting 180,000 households to the national grid by the December 2025 project deadline.
