Malawi’s high export potential took a promising turn, as local exporters started shipping beans to Kenya under the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).
East Africa is reported to be a significant destination for Malawi’s grains and legumes but largely through illegal exports that limit economic benefits.
