A heated debate has ensued after some of the members of Football Association of Malawi (Fam) affiliates left the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (Wafcon) at the group stage yet the Malawi Women’s National Football Team went beyond the level.
Analysts have exchanged differing reasons with many accusing Fam of a poor budget or undermining the Scorchers prowess.
