ON THE ROAD TO MANGOCHI AND MPONELA—Bullets

FCB Nyasa Big Bullets will take preparations for the 2024 season to Champion Stadium in Mponela, Dowa District, where they will play two training matches on March 9 and 10.

Albert Chigoga

Bullets Chief Administrative Officer Albert Chigoga said before travelling to Mponela, the team will leave for camp training in Mangochi Thursday.

“We have indeed arranged to play two matches at Champion Stadium in Mponela. These are like training friendly matches. We will be in Mponela after our Mangochi trip. This is part of our pre-season training. It helps quite a lot when a team experiences a different environment. So we believe the players will find the two trips very meaningful to prepare for the new season,” Chigoga said.

Champion Stadium owner Msaiwale Kabvina said they had requested Bullets to play at the facility as it prepares to host more TNM Super League matches in the coming season.

“Several Super League teams have approached us to allow them to register our stadium as their home ground. So we want big teams to come and experience the atmosphere here so that when the season starts, this stadium should not be a strange place to their players.

“We are also talking to other teams so that they come and see for themselves what we have on offer. We have opened our doors to all teams as they prepare for the 2024 season,” Kabvina said.

Kabvina said the Super League, Airtel Top 8, FDH Bank Cup and Castel Challenge Cup winners will face Kalembelembe FC on March 9 before taking on Chatoloma Admarc the following day.

Bullets are also expected to play against a foreign team before facing Silver Strikers in the NBS Bank Charity Shield on March 30 to mark the official kickoff of the new season.
