Malawi’s representatives in the 2023 Caf Champions League, FCB Nyasa Big Bullets, have disclosed that they will register all of their players for the continental club showpiece.
This comes after the Confederations of African Football (Caf) confirmed that each club will be allowed to register 40 players for the tournament. The deadline for players’ registration in the Caf Champions League is July 31.
Bullets Chief Administration Officer Albert Chigoga was confident of beating the players’ registration deadline.
“We are working on it. We will submit this week. We are allowed to register 40 players; so, we will utilise this opportunity to register all our players,” Chigoga said.
Previously, teams were allowed to register 30 players for the tournament.

Bullets registered a total of 30 players for the 2023 domestic season. This means Bullets have space for 10 additional players for the competition.
However, Chigoga said, at the moment, the technical panel is satisfied with the squad.
“If the need arises, we will bolster the squad,’’ Chigoga said.
The draw for the preliminary round is expected to take place soon.

According to details from Caf, the preliminary round matches are expected to be played between August 18 and 27. The 2nd preliminary round will be played between September 15 and October 1.
Fam Compliance Manager Casper Jangale said Bullets have remained with few days to register their players.
“We expect them to submit this week as they are already aware of the deadline,” Jangale said.
Bullets have failed to go past the first preliminary round since 2016.
Last year, they lost 4-0 on aggregate to Tanzanian giants Simba SC, having lost both legs by 2-0 margins.
