Five cars were left extensively damaged Thursday when a brick fence fell on them in Limbe Township, Blantyre.
Police have confirmed the development, saying the vehicles belong to individuals who packed them near the brick wall.
Limbe Police Station publicist Aubrey Singanyama said the fence belongs to businessperson Abdul Gaffar Habib, adding that this happened along Blue Belt Street.
The Daily Times understands that there are some construction works going on at the site.

“Some people were placing soil near a wall which was being dug nearby. So, due to pressure, the wall failed to withstand it [pressure], leading to its collapse. The collapsing wall landed on the vehicles, which were extensively damaged,” Singanyama said.
He added that one of the owners of the vehicles has officially complained to police, who are handling the matter.
