New First Capital Bank (FCB) Malawi Chief Executive Officer Agnes Jazza has said the bank has a vision of becoming the market leader in Malawi in the next five years.
Jazza was speaking in Lilongwe on the sidelines of an event where she was introduced to the bank’s customers as CEO.
She said the bank is third in as far as profitability is concerned.
“As you are aware or might have seen in the local press, we are the number three profitable bank in Malawi. Ridding on that, you should not be surprised seeing us being the number one bank in Malawi,” Jazza said.
She said the bank is committed to helping Malawians weather the economic storm currently hitting the country.
According to Jazza, FCB is also committed to helping the Malawi Government realise its 2063 aspirations.
She said, for the bank to realise its vision, customers are key, saying the bank would like to enhance its interactions with the clientele so as to appreciate their needs.
Jazza observed that, at FCB, belief comes first
“We believe in making your payments as smooth and as convenient as possible – payments to your suppliers and payments from your customers.
“And to our personal and private banking customers, we believe in offering you a banking experience that is seamless. We are building proximity through relationship banking whilst investing in robust digital platforms that will totally transform your banking experience,” Jazza said.
She added that for the bank’s prestige banking segment, the bank has rolled out a customer value proposition which offers high touch service, exclusivity and customised solutions to their banking needs and lifestyle.
FCB Group Chief Executive Officer Jaco Viljoen said the group is confident that Jazza would steer the local business to greater heights.
Viljoen said Jazza has been with the bank for over 25 years and, as such, better placed to propel its vision and mission.
