Former Flames attacker Mapopa ‘Kent’ Msukwa is confident that his charges, Fomo FC, can knock out FCB Nyasa Big Bullets Reserve in Southern Region Football Association Premier Division play-offs.
Fomo defeated Bullets Reserve 2-0 in Mulanje on Saturday to hold an advantage ahead of the return leg slated for Kamuzu Stadium in Blantyre.
The team that wins will meet Ntopwa FC in the final to determine champions, who will be promoted to the TNM Super League.
Msukwa said he has warned his charges not to get complacent.
“I have told them that we have only won a battle but we need to win the war to triumph. In this case, I would say that we are leading in the first half and we need to seal victory in the second half to realise our dream,” the former FCB Nyasa Big Bullets and defunct MDC United playmaker said.

Msukwa said he expects a lot of pressure during the second leg but he hopes that his troops are ready to withstand the heat and fight back.
“Before this match, we had met twice during the group games. We drew the first game 0-0 and lost the second one 2-1. All the games were played in Blantyre because, by then, we had not yet identified our home ground. We know what to expect,” he said.
Bullets Reserve Coach Enos Chatama, whose charges qualified through a boardroom decision after Zingwangwa United were penalised for using suspended players, said they can overturn the tables.
