TNM Super League defending champions FCB Nyasa Big Bullets, second-placed Silver Strikers and struggling Moyale Barracks have spoken of intentions to beef up their squads in the current transfer window, which opened on August 1.
The window will remain open for the next two weeks.
Bullets will be hoping to find replacements for top striker Babatunde Adepoju and influential midfielder Chimwemwe Idana, who left before the season kicked off.
The People’s Team made efforts to replace Babatunde by signing former Silver Strikers hit man Gastin Phodo but he is yet to find his form.
The current league leaders came from behind to secure a 1-1 draw with relegation-bound Mighty Waka Waka Tigers on the final day of the first round.

Bullets Coach Kallisto Pasuwa indicated that Bullets are struggling to score and there is a need to sign two more players before their Caf Champions League preliminary match against Dragon FC of Equatorial Guinea.
“We really need to beef up before embarking on our international club assignments. We also have several players on the injury list and we don’t know if they will regain fitness in time. So, yes we might bring in one or two new names,” Pasuwa said.
After their barren draw at Mzuzu Stadium on Wednesday, both Silver Coach Pieter de Jongh and Moyale Assistant Coach Victor Chingoka said it was their wish to bring in new players.
de Jongh said he proposed some new faces in his quest to transform the team.

“I am sure my board will support me with new players in the second round. I have drawn up a list of players that I want for my team. Hopefully, the board will do the needful to bring the players I want,” de Jongh said.
Chingoka said they intend to bring in some players from Chilumba Barracks.
“Our main strikers right now are Gastin Simkonda and Raphael Phiri but we need some backup. So we are currently in talks with management to ensure that we beef up so that results improve in the second round,” he said.
At Mighty Mukuru Wanderers, there are indications that slippery attacker Francisco Madinga, who was in Georgia with Dila Gori FC, would be back at the club.
