President Peter Mutharika Thursday extended the declaration of a State of Disaster to all 28 districts of the country, as Malawi continues to grapple with widespread food insecurity caused by a prolonged dry spell.
The extension, announced in a statement signed by Chief Secretary to the Government, Justin Saidi, broadens the initial declaration made in October this year, when only 11 districts were covered.
