Youthful musician Jay Jay Cee on Saturday launched his album titled Pamodzi at Robin’s Park in Blantyre where he managed to pull an attractive audience.
The album was initially supposed to be launched on October 7 2023 but it was postponed following its clash with the free-of-charge annual Blantyre City Arts and Cultural Festival, which was held at Kamuzu Upper Stadium.
The artist, as the headliner, put up a daring act that also saw him collaborating with other artists, some of whom feature in the album.
“I am short of words for the support you have given me. I just planned but the turnout is massive and it has motivated me to keep on giving out quality music,” he said.
Jay Jay Cee, real name James Chitsonga, said having launched the album in Blantyre; he was now looking forward to touring the country.
“Apart from the tour, I am starting shooting videos for songs in the album. I just want to say thank you as well to fellow artists for the support. This achievement is not for me alone but for the creative sector,” he said.
The album, which has over 20 songs, talks about love and unity.
Some of the songs in the album include ‘Ndekha’, ‘Busy’, ‘Not Again’, ‘Ntetezeni’, ‘Kulakwa’ and ‘Lololo’.
