The Super League of Malawi (Sulom) has expressed confidence that Kamuzu Stadium will be ready to host the opening match of the 2026-27 FDH Bank Premiership season despite the Football Association of Malawi (Fam) declaring that the venue is unfit, Times Sport has learnt.
The official opening match has pitted champions Mighty Wanderers against Karonga United on Saturday.
Sulom has confirmed that Kamuzu Stadium will host the official opening match as scheduled, saying officials were working against the clock to address outstanding concerns ahead of match day.
