Economic think-tanks are warning that the Malawi Kwacha will sharply weaken against the United States dollar in the coming years, even as the official rate has stayed largely flat.
Oxford Economics projects the most dramatic fall, forecasting the Kwacha to hit K2,444 per dollar by end of 2026 from the current rate of around K1,749.
