President Lazarus Chakwera has assured the people of Dedza District and Malawi as a whole that he will complete all development projects his administration has started implementing.
He cited roads, health facilities and school blocks as some of the projects that would come to fruition.
The President made the remarks during a whistle-stop tour of Kanyezi, Njonja, Maonde areas and Chule Primary School.
He is on the campaign trail as the country readies for the September 16, 2025 Local Government, Parliamentary and Presidential Elections.

Chakwera also said his administration would continue to support farmers through the National Economic Empowerment Fund and other social cash transfer programmes.
“You shouldn’t be shaken by the opposition parties but, rather, support my government to complete the development initiatives we initiated,” Chakwera said.
He accused previous administrations of constructing less durable roads in Dedza.
“Apart from improving road infrastructure, we are ensuring that people have access to safe water,” Chakwera said.

Aspiring parliamentarians — including Auzious Chidovu, Themuka Mkhwewu and Joshua Malango— commended Chakwera for initiating various development projects.
