President Lazarus Chakwera has appealed to leaders of Blantyre Synod, which is under the Church of Central Africa Presbyterian, to join hands with government officials in preaching the message of hope to Malawians.
Addressing the leaders at Sanjika Palace in Blantyre Tuesday, the President acknowledged challenges that the country is facing.
He was quick to say not everything is lost, highlighting the resilience of the people of Malawi.
“As religious leaders, let us take the lead in instilling hope in Malawians. Despite the challenges our country faces, not all is lost. By joining hands and working together through this partnership, we can move our nation forward,” he said.
Chakwera further stressed the importance of mindset change for the realisation of Malawi 2063 vision, calling on the church to be in the lead when it comes to advancing the Malawi 2063 agenda.

Juma said the synod has been collaborating with the government on projects, citing the construction of hospitals and schools.
“Our philosophy is premised on working closely with the government of the day.
“As such, our prayer is that the Almighty God continues blessing you, Your Excellency, by granting you good health and ensuring the continued success of your leadership,” he said.
