Lucky Stars Band, famed for the hit ‘Chinafuna Mbale’, has said it wants to reach out to all the corners of the country with live performances this year.
Led by Boniface Ndamera, the band had a few gigs last year.
Ndamera admitted Tuesday that despite being in the trade of music for years, they have failed to reach out to all corners of the country with live shows because of lack of funds.
“We have, for the past five years, been lamenting the absence of a manager. We would love to be managed and have a manager who can help drive us forward. The other challenge is funds; if we had enough funds in our coffers, we would have been active with concerts,” he said.
Ndamera boosted that Lucky Stars Band has more songs, both old and new, and that, much as the current generation is into new trends of music, they are unique and ready to be counted.

Lucky Stars Band will later this month invade Lilongwe for a birthday gig.
“We want to say that we, as a band, are open to performances at weddings, birthday parties and other platforms. Let companies utilise us,” Ndamera said.
