After their recent performances in Europe and United States of America on their world tour, Madalitso Band, the duo of Yobu Maligwa and Yosefe Kalekeni from the outskirts of Mtandire in Lilongwe, embarks on another international outing in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
The duo will perform at Acces organised by Music In Africa Foundation from November 9 to 11 2023 at Julius Nyerere International Convention Centre.
Madalitso Band is the only group from Malawi starring at the event, which will also bring on board artists from other countries including Sho Madjozi and Zolani Mahola and The Feminine Force from South Africa, Marioo and Balaa MC from Tanzania, Feli Nandi from Zimbabwe, Alostemen from Ghana and Kasiva Mutua from Kenya.
The group’s international manager Neil Nayar said Sunday Madalitso Band is looking forward to flying Malawi’s flag once again.
“This is another opportunity to showcase Malawi’s authentic music. Tanzania is a place that is dear to Madalitso because that is where the group’s opportunities started opening after a performance at Sauti za Busara in Zanzibar,” Nayar said.

He said they also intend to shoot a documentary at the event.
Madalitso Band has Fungo la Nyemba and Wasalala albums to their acclaim.
