After experiencing what Malawi has to offer through auditions, reality show Malawi Has Talent makes a huge step today as it unveils the top 30 acts during a press breifing at Times Entertainment Studios in Blantyre.
The auditions started at Amaryllis Hotel in Blantyre, with talents from the Southern Region facing the judges, namely celebrated poet Q Malewezi, Wendy Harawa, Mr Entertainer Jai Banda and Zilanie Gondwe, before being beamed on Times Television, Times 360 Malawi on Facebook page and other platforms.
The auditions attracted an overwhelming response from people before the auditions for the Central and North held in Lilongwe followed later.
The reality show is led by Times Group, through Times Television, in partnership with First Capital Bank.
Times Group Chief Commercial Manager Ralph Chirwa said Tuesday that the 30 acts to be unveiled today are a representation of all participants that registered and participated in the auditions.
“This is another great step as we drive towards the grand finale but there are more surprises that people will experience, just as they enjoyed the auditions. We are excited to unveil these 30 acts Wednesday (today),” Chirwa said.
During auditions, people saw talents in disciplines such as acrobatics, music, contortionism, football freestyles, dance, poetry and magic.
The grand finale will see the winner walking away with K5 million whereas second and third-placed contestants will receive K2 million and K1 million, respectively.
