Malawi Police Service (MPS) has hailed Blue Eagles Sisters for dominating the country’s netball.
MPS Director of Research, Planning and Reforms, Dennis Chipao, made the remarks when Eagles Sisters presented the One Nico Netball Cup Top 12 trophy to him at the National Police Headquarters in Lilongwe on Wednesday.
Chipao said they are proud to be associated with the team’s success stories.
“We are very happy with your achievements. It is not easy to dominate all competitions. This is a clear indication that we have hardworking and dedicated players,” he said.
Chipao urged the team to maintain discipline.

“The key to success is discipline. Other teams are not happy with your dominance, so you need to remain united,” he said.
Chipao then announced that Inspector General Richard Luhanga had given the team K1 million as a token of appreciation for winning the cup.
Eagles Sisters also clinched the Salima Sugar Netball Cup to assert their dominance.
Their junior side, Young Eagles Sisters, also proved to be a hard nut to crack having won the 2025 Mpico Gateway Mall Netball Challenge.

Eagles captain Molly Chisambiro said they remain motivated to continue winning.
“Whatever support we are getting from management is a motivation to us. We just want to continue winning trophies,” Chisambiro said.
Netball Association of Malawi (Nam) General Secretary Yamikani Kauma hailed MPS for supporting the team.
“Eagles Sisters is one of the most successful netball teams in Malawi. The team’s success is due to good support from police management,” Kauma said.
Eagles Sisters were crowned One Nico champions following a 37-29 victory over Kukoma Diamonds at Don Bosco Netball Court in Lilongwe last Sunday.
The champions received K5 million plus a trophy and dominated individual awards with Takondwa Lwazi being named the most valuable player and the best centre court.
Another Eagles Sisters player, Ruth Kaliyenda, was named the best shooter.
