The Queen Cubs have recorded impressive results at the Telkom Netball League in Durban, where they are competing as quests.
The team’s campaign began with a 53-44 victory over the defending champions, Kingdom Queens, followed by a dominant 72-38 win over Baobabs.
The Cubs suffered their first defeat in their debut campaign in the Telkom Netball League after going down 43-49 to Tornados during Power Week 1.
However, they bounced back strongly with a 47-34 triumph over Sonoblomos on Tuesday before securing their fourth win yesterday.
Queen Cubs coach Joana Kachilika said the team had set an ambitious tone for their campaign in the Telkom Netball League, saying that their objective was to win all their remaining matches.
“The mission is to win all our matches,” Kachilika said.
She commended her players for following the game plan and demonstrating maturity despite the pressure of competing on such a big stage for the first time.
