Malawi is stepping up domestic financing for HIV programmes as declining donor support threatens to undermine gains made in the fight against the epidemic, the National Aids Commission (Nac) has said.
The latest UNAids report, ‘United to End Aids’, says the global response is off track to end Aids as a public health threat by 2030 despite significant progress in reducing new HIV infections and Aids-related deaths.
