Veteran musician Austin Skerem Zimbiri of the ‘Mbuyo Kucheta’ fame said yesterday he is determined to produce a new album but needs support to go to the studio.
The Mulanje-based artist, who had spells performing with Sapitwa, Super Zunde and Billy Kaunda, said he is still active in music but has failed to make ground because of lack of resources.
“The songs for the new album which will be my sixth are ready, I have started the process on my own but I need a hand to finalise the whole project,” he said.
With the world going digital, Zimbiri, said he also wants to embrace the new ways in order to reach out to the masses hence wants to produce music videos.
“ I want to revisit all my songs and rework on them and then also look at producing top quality videos but all this needs money and this is where I am calling upon well-wishers to assist me,” he said.

Zimbiri, who is a tour guide at Mulanje Mountain, said he is raring to go to start holding live performances but he is failing because of lack of funds.
His previous albums include Mbuyo Kucheta which put him in the limelight, Tiazolowere, Kukhala Samati Choncho and Mlendo.
