Former Malawi Police Service director of operations Akis Muwanga Tuesday told the Parliamentary Ad hoc Committee investigating the Chikangawa Forest plane crash that killed vice president Saulos Chilima and eight other people that former commissioner of police for the Northern Region Richard Luhanga suspended the search and rescue mission of the Malawi Police Service (MPS) on June 10, 2024.
Muwanga said this while testifying in the ongoing inquiry at Parliament Building in Lilongwe City Tuesday.
