Mighty Mukuru Wanderers have said they are optimistic of securing an International Clearance Certificate (ITC) for Cameroonian striker Sama Thierry Tanjong.
The striker signed a two-year contract with Wanderers last week after impressing the technical panel during trials.
However, Tanjong is yet to make his debut for the Lali-Lubani Road outfit due to the absence of the ITC.

Wanderers director of football Tiya Somba-Banda on Tuesday said they have written Football Association of Malawi (Fam) on the matter.

’’We are working on the process and we are just waiting for it. Once we get the ITC, we will start processing for his work permit,’’ Somba-Banda said.
The Cameroonian striker joined Wanderers after the closure of the international transfer window.
However, he can be cleared outside the international window if approved that he was a free agent before signing for Wanderers.
Fam Transfer Matching and Compliance Manager Casper Jangale confirmed receipt of the Wanderers request.

“Indeed, they wrote us; so, we have also written Cameroon Football Federation to give us more details about the player. We are still waiting for the response,’’ Jangale said.
Tanjong played for Baroka FC in South Africa and also in Congo. He has scored 112 goals in his football career.
At Wanderers, Tanjong will compete for places with Christopher Kumwembe, Vincent Nyangulu, Clement Nyondo and Misheck Bottoman.
The Nomads will host Karonga United in the TNM Super League at Kamuzu Stadium this weekend. They are fourth on the 16-member log table with nine points, four behind leaders Silver Strikers.
