Mighty Mukuru Wanderers have ‘offered’ Cameroonian Striker Sama Tanjong a two-year contract after he impressed the technical panel during trials.
The striker, nicknamed ‘Predator’, could be available for the Blantyre derby against rivals FCB Nyasa Big Bullets at Kamuzu Stadium this coming Saturday.
A well-placed source at Wanderers, who spoke on strict condition of anonymity yesterday, confirmed that the striker had passed the test.
“He has been doing well in training and the technical panel is happy with him,” said the source.
He said the club was working around the clock to secure his international clearance ahead of the Blantyre derby.

However, Wanderers Chief Executive Officer Panganeni Ndovi said the player was still being assessed.
“Discussions and assessment of the player are still underway,” Ndovi said.
If he gets the deal, he will compete for places with Christopher Kumwembe, Vincent Nyangulu, Cement Nyondo and Misheck Bottoman.
Wanderers’ strikers have been guilty of missing clear-cut chances since last season.

Coach Nsanzurimo Ramadhan said recently that his side needed a striker and creative midfielder.
Immediate-past Wanderers coach Mark Harrison was left ruing missed chances for the better part of last season.
Meanwhile, sports analyst Roy Abramo M’dechi has said Wanderers need a proper striker to fight for the title and other cups.
“Wanderers’ biggest problem is scoring goals. They put too much pressure on Kumwembe, who scored some goals last year. They have other strikers but they are also struggling,” he said.
Wanderers dropped points for the second time this season after a goal-less draw with Bangwe All Stars at Mpira Stadium.
They are third on the log table with eight points, at par with fourth-placed Bullets ahead of the derby.
Both Wanderers and Bullets trail leaders Silver Strikers by two points.
