Mighty Mukuru Wanderers Director Limbani Magomero has threatened to reveal evidence implicating one of the local elite clubs in football corruption.
Magomero was reacting to the recent Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) which the Football Association of Malawi (Fam) has signed with the Anti- Corruption Bureau.
Speaking during Wanderers’ press briefing in Blantyre on Thursday, Magomero alleged that one of the elite teams offers free accommodation and food to visiting teams.
“We would like to commend the Football Association of Malawi (Fam) for partnering the Anti- Corruption Bureau (ACB) in the fight against corruption in football.
“If they need our support we are ready to furnish them with information to do with teams who are busy providing free accommodation to other teams in the league,” he said

Meanwhile, ACB spokesperson Egrita Ndala said they are waiting for the official to furnish the institution with leads to investigate the issue thoroughly.
“Most of the times when people make such allegations in the media they change tune when we summon them. We are calling on Wanderers to bring such evidence as soon as they can so that we can prove more,” Ndala said.
