Mighty Mukuru Wanderers have a double mission when they face Kamuzu Barracks in a TNM Super League match at Kamuzu Stadium this afternoon.
The Nomads have a chance to reclaim top spot if they get a positive result in today’s match.
Heading into the match, Wanderers are third on the 16-member log table with 39 points from 19 matches, three points behind leaders Chitipa United, who have played two matches more.
Wanderers are just one point behind second-placed FCB Nyasa Big Bullets.
Again, Wanderers will be seeking revenge against the KB soldiers after they lost 1-0 in their last match of the first round at Kasungu Ground.

The soldiers also defeated Wanderers 2-1 at Kamuzu Stadium in the first round last season before having a goal-less draw in the second round at Champion Stadium in Mponela, Dowa District.
Probably, the soldiers will be looking to continue from where they left in the first round.
Wanderers Coach Mark Harrison has told his charges to double their efforts to get maximum points.
“We are going to be overloaded with fixtures in the next two or three months and, as such, we have to treat every match like a cup final. We are playing army teams who play a direct and physical game and, so, we have to match their physicality to get a positive result,” Harrison said.

His counterpart Alick Chirwa said he anticipated a tough match.
“We know Wanderers will come hard on us looking for revenge but we are prepared for them,” Chirwa said.
Elsewhere, Silver Strikers will be looking to return to winning ways when they host Moyale Barracks at Bingu National Stadium.
The Bankers have played three consecutive matches without a win but they can overtake Bullets on position three if they beat Moyale this afternoon. Silver have 33 points from 19 matches whereas Moyale are in the relegation zone, with 23 points from 20 matches.
At Rumphi Stadium, Ekwendeni Hammers will host Extreme FC in another match.
