Indigenous entrepreneur Napoleon Dzombe has urged Malawians to break free from dependency on handouts and focus on practical methods of wealth creation.
Speaking at the Wealth Creation Conference in Blantyre organised by Sycamore Consult Limited, Dzombe advocated a shift from proposal-based investments to dynamic initiatives that ensure sustainable profits.
He emphasised the importance of passing knowledge to the younger generation to prevent wasted energy in redundant research and called for building on established foundations for their success.
“As pioneers who have already charted the path to success through careful research, it becomes our responsibility to elevate the youth. Why should they start from scratch when they can stand on our established foundation?” Dzombe said.

Dzombe pushed for a transformative shift in Malawi’s approach to investment sourcing.
“The era of depending on handouts and proposals for investments must give way to dynamic and pragmatic initiatives that promise enduring returns and sustainable profits,” he said.
Dzombe said true wealth creation progress emerges from the sweat of hard work and innovative endeavors, rather than passive reliance on external aid.
He implored the public to cultivate a culture of diligent effort, urging them to transcend the attraction of donations which, he argued, stifle the critical acumen required for authentic wealth creation.

Sycamore Consult Managing Director Audrey Mwala said the conference was aimed at disseminating messages on the essence of accomplishment in wealth management, thereby revealing the path for more Malawians to prosper.
“The conference served as a conduit for sharing the coveted secrets of success,” Mwala said.
Mwala further said in a nation with potential, the Wealth Creation Conference played a pivotal role in prompting a transformational shift in mindset.
“The conference provided a platform for individuals to embrace proactive strategies for building wealth, fostering a shift from dependency to empowerment,” she said.
