Refreshed Mighty Wanderers head coach Bob Mpinganjira has vowed to make some changes at the club, including introducing a new diet to enhance efficiency and productivity following his return from the United Kingdom (UK).
He has spent over a month on coaching attachments in the UK.
Bob arrived back home yesterday through Bakili Muluzi International Airport in Blantyre, having been at Partick Thistle in Scotland and Queens Park Rangers (QPR) in England.
He was welcomed back by his wife Mirriam and Wanderers Director of Football David Kanyenda.
Upon arrival, Bob hailed both Thistle and QPR for the training while calling for a good and balanced diet for his players.

“Football in Europe is the same as here in Malawi, only that coaches there [in England] have more time with the players after training, finetuning areas that need clarity.
“I will be enforcing a good diet with our players on which food to eat and not and I believe we will be able to implement this,” Bob said.
Reacting to the proposal, Kanyenda said they fully supported Mpinganjira on the matter.
“You know, there are some players out there who can eat unnecessary food against their career and end up adding more weight to their body. We will also make sure that our players will have to undergo weight checks,” Kanyenda said.

The coaching attachments exposed Bob to modern training techniques, performance analysis systems and holistic player development frameworks—key areas the Nomads believe will sharpen their competitive edge both domestically and on the continental stage.
Club President Thomson Mpinganjira has been the driving force behind this initiative, opting to invest in the growth of his technical panel rather than overhauling it ahead of the upcoming Caf Champions League campaign.
His decision comes on the back of a successful 2025 season in which Wanderers clinched the TNM Super League title for the first time since 2017, earning the coaching staff renewed contracts through to 2028
