FDH Bank Premiership rookies Masters FC and Luanar Mitundu FC have expressed satisfaction with their performances after finishing the first round in the top eight, with returnees Red Lions narrowly missing out.
Masters sit fifth on the table with 22 points while Mitundu are eighth with 20 points.
Lions are ninth with 20 points and are separated from Mitundu by goal difference.
Last season’s promoted sides also made a strong impression, with Ekhaya FC finishing fourth on 26 points and Blue Eagles lying seventh with 23 points.
Masters earned promotion after finishing third in the NBS National Division League as Baka City before rebranding following a sale which saw them relocate from Karonga to Lilongwe.

“We have done well in the first round and collecting points at home is a motivation for us and all stakeholders,” Mkandawire said.
