Silver Strikers turned on a majestic performance as they beat rookies Creck Sporting Club 2-0 in a TNM Super League match at Silver Stadium in Lilongwe Sunday.
The victory means the Central Bankers have maintained their perfect start to the season, dropping only two points in the first six matches.
Following the win, Silver also maintained their three-point gap at the summit of the 16-member log table over second-placed Mzuzu City Hammers, who defeated Kamuzu Barracks 2-0 in another match Sunday.
Silver have 16 points from six matches whereas Hammers have 13 points from the same number of matches.
However, Silver are four points above third-placed Mighty Mukuru Wanderers, who defeated Karonga United 1-0 at Kamuzu Stadium on Saturday.

They have opened a five-point gap over KB and six-point chasm above defending champions FCB Nyasa Big Bullets following the 1-1 stalemate against Mafco at Chitowe on Saturday.
However, it is too early to make hasty decisions in the title race but the Central Bankers have, under Peter Mponda, made a statement of intent this season.
It was a match of high tempo as both teams started strongly. But Uchizi Vunga broke the deadlock for Silver at the stroke of half time.
It was a beauty that sent Silver fans into ecstasy.

Vunga received a pass from substitute Chimwemwe Idana on the edge of the box and then unleashed a thunderbolt that gave Creck goalkeeper Charles Chisale no chance.
After the break, Creck reorganised themselves and nearly grabbed an equaliser but Silver goalkeeper George Chikooka was up to the task, denying Hardy Ng’andu with a finger-tip save.
Idana turned from provider into goal scorer as he doubled Silver’s lead in the 61st minute from a rebound after Chisale saved Chinsinsi Maonga’s attempt.
Creck tried hard to come back into the match but Nigerian striker Babangida Ishaya was a lone ranger upfront.
For Creck, the loss means they are without a win in four consecutive matches.
They drew 1-1 with Karonga last week.
Creck are 11 on the log table with seven points from six matches.

After the match, Mponda praised his players for the win.
He was, however, modest in victory.
“It is too early to get carried away with the results and we are taking each match as it comes,” Mponda said.
Creck Coach Macdonald Mtetemera was disappointed with the result.
“We gave them a good run for their money but we lost concentration and, so, Silver punished us,” he said.
Elsewhere, Hammers also continued their impressive start to the start with a 1- 0 win over KB.
The victory came courtesy of Isaac Msiska’s goal.
In another match, Mighty Tigers and Dedza Dynamos shared the spoils following a 1-1 stalemate at Kamuzu Stadium.
Kelvin Banda scored for Tigers but Bright Mtondagowa’s own goal rescued a point for Dedza.
